How to Replace an Audi G28 Engine Speed Sensor

However, the error code won't appear on its own, without additional information from other sensors (G4 and G40).
It can be a bit difficult to test as there are different pins on the connector, and they all have different functions. The best method for doing this is by measuring the resistance between the ECU and the sensor. It should read approximately 1000 ohms when it is in full operation. If you are having problems with this component, look for evidence of coolant or oil in the connector bay.
2. Injectors
Yesterday accelerating full speed from highway paytoll, i experienced a big cut in power like the engine is running out of gas or the injectors are not firing at all. I pulled out the spark plugs this morning, three were soaked in gasoline, and the fourth was dry. When I start the engine, there are no sparks, i place a tissue on the top of each hole in the injector and the 3 that were drenched in gazoline jump out but the 4th stays shut. I tested the ground connection on ECU pins 14/55,30/55 and 48/55 I got zero ohm. I assume that the problem is somewhere else.
I also tried to reset the PID but without success. The car is able to start if the G28 is not plugged in and runs fine when it is plugged in, but still is experiencing intermittent misfires at higher RPM. The coolant sensor (G62), even when it is unplugged, shows temperatures of -49c. Also, i noticed that the gauge for oil pressure in the cockpit is showing 2 bar, whereas the actual pressure is 0.0 when i rev the engine.
I'm not certain what to do, but i think i've pretty much eliminated everything else. But i'm worried that I may have missed something. If anyone has any ideas please chime in! TIA!

The fuel pump in the g28 is activated by a signal by the RPM sensor. The GM-style sensor is identical to the G4 and they both work in the 80, 100 200, UrS and RS2 cars so you can easily find one at a wrecking yard or in a local parts store. Test them out - put your DMM in resistance mode and measure between pins 1 (with the bump on the connector's side up) and 2 (2nd from left on the black end of the connector). They must be infinite Ohms.
